The Amazing World of Gumball is about a twelve year old boy who is a cat. His name is Gumball. Gumballs best friend is his pet fish, Darwin, who one day grew legs and became a part of the family. Gumball has a little sister named Anais who is a rabbit. Gumball also has two parents, his mom is a cat named Nicole and his dad is a rabbit just like his little sister named Richard. Gumball and Darwin are always getting themselves into a mess. They always try to do everything on their own which always turns out bad. The two boys attend Elmore Junior High. There are many other characters who attend Elmore Junior High, such as a huge t-rex, a banana, a balloon, a ghost, and many more weird creatures.
The Amazing World of Gumball first aired on May 3, 2011 on Cartoon Network. It comes on every Monday at 7:30 p.m. on Cartoon Network. They are still coming out with new episodes, so there not quite done with the whole series yet. So far they have a total of twenty-two episodes and two seasons.
The Amazing World of Gumball is a comedy. Gumball and Darwin don’t really know what they’re doing half the time. They helped a fingerprint rob a gas station, remade a movie because they lost the one they rented, stole a stuffed animal from a t-rex, and goes in to the Forest of Doom. The two boys are always up to no good, they have no idea what the world is about. The Amazing World of Gumball isn’t only a funny show it’s super cute. The animation is different from any other cartoon I have seen before. Everything in the background is real. It looks like drawings of characters are just placed on to the real world.
