The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy(also known as Billy and Mandy) is a story about two kids named Billy and Mandy who has the Grim Reaper as their best friend. The Grim Reaper, known as Grim, is not Billy and Mandy’s best friends by will. When Billy and Mandy were cerebrating the tenth birthday of Billy’s hamster the Grim Reaper came to take the poor hamster’s soul. Mandy doesn’t want to give up the hamster so she decides to play a game and make a bet. If Grim wins he can have the hamster’s soul, but if Mandy wins Grim has to be Billy and Mandy’s best friend forever. Grim takes them to limbo to play the game limbo. Mandy of course cheats by making the hamster attack Grim, so now the Grim Reaper has to be with Billy and Mandy forever.

Billy is probably the stupidest person ever. He will never listen to either Grim or Mandy’s advice. He always comes up with some stupid idea that will obviously go wrong. Billy may be really dumb but he is one of the happiest kids in town. Billy is quite the opposite of Mandy. Mandy is a very angry kid. The hardest thing to do is to try to make Mandy smile. Mandy may be very mean and angry, but she isn’t stupid like Billy, she gets straight A’s in school. Billy is seven years old and Mandy is six years old. Grim is no wear near as young as Billy and Mandy, he is 137,000 years old. Grim really isn’t like how a grim reaper would be. Grim speaks with a Jamaican accent and is very friendly. When he was younger he never even wanted to be the Grim Reaper, but he accepts it now.

The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is a very weird kind of gross show. I honestly don’t think this cartoon is very appropriate for young kids to be watching. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy has alot of gross episodes. The people in this show just do the weirdest things, like pick their nose or randomly beat someone up. The show may be weird or freaky, but it sure is hilarious. I think haveing a weird sense of humor makes this show really funny.
Billy and Mandy is one of the longest running shows on Cartoon Network ran from June 13, 2003, to October 12, 2008. Billy and Mandy has a total of 84 episodes with 6 seasons, along with two specials. Billy and Mandy still airs on Cartoon Network, just not on a regular schedule. 

Danny Phantom

Danny Phantom is about a 14 year old boy named Danny Fenton. He always lived an average life with his two best friends Sam Manson and Tucker Foley. Danny Fenton’s parents are Jack and Maddie Fenton. Danny's parents are obsessed with ghosts and are 100 percent sure that ghosts exist. One day his parents made a machine to go into the ghost zone, where they believe all of the ghosts live. Danny then is convinced by Sam to go into the machine. Next thing, he wakes up and sees he has white hair. He also has glowing green eyes and the power to disappear and fly.

                Later in the show he realizes that other ghosts are escaping from the ghost zone. He realizes it is his job to stop the ghosts from causing harm to the world. His parents have created other ghost fighting products that Danny takes and uses as his own. Danny took an item called the Fenton Thermos. The Fenton Thermos is used to keep his ghosts in, that Danny fights. Later when he is home he can release them back into the ghost zone. The only people that know of Danny’s power are his two best friends, Sam and Tucker. They are his sidekicks and have helped him a lot.

Sam has known Danny since second grade and became friends with him in the eighth grade. Sam is a huge vegetarian and a goth. She is filthy rich, but doesn’t let anyone in on that secret, except Danny and Tucker of course. Not only are Sam and Danny best friends, but it’s completely obvious they have a crush on each other. Tucker has also known Danny since second grade and has been friends with him since. Tucker is a big techno geek. He always has a PDA in his hand and does all the technology work for Danny. Tucker may be a techno geek, but he isn’t too bright in school. Danny’s noisy sister is Jazz Fenton. Jazz is a genius unlike Danny. She cares about Danny deeply and is nice, but sometimes she goes too far with getting into his business. Later in the show she finds out about Danny’s powers.

Danny Phantom was created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon and produced by Billionfold Studios. There are a total of 49 episodes of Danny Phantom with three seasons. There has also been one Danny Phantom movie. Danny Phantom started out on Nickelodeon, but is now on Nicktoons. They do not make any new episodes of Danny Phantom because the show is over with. There is no set time that it comes on television so just watch out for it.

Fruits Basket!

Tohru Honda.

Fruits Basket is about a young teenage girl named Tohru Honda who just recently lost her mother in a car accident. Tohru was left to live on her own in a tent. One day as she was walking to school she came across a cute house that she never noticed before. On the porch she sees little figurines of the twelve Chinese Zodiacs. A man named Shigure Sohma steps out and begins talking to her about the Chinese zodiac. Next thing she knows the most popular boy in school, Yuki Sohma, steps out of the front door. Yuki insists on walking to school together. Later that night Tohru was at home in her tent, as she crawls out she sees Yuki and Shigure standing right outside of her tent. They later convince Tohru it isn’t safe for a young girl to be living on her own in the woods. They make a deal if Tohru cooks and cleans she can live with them.

There is a lot more to the Sohma family than Tohru knows. Later Tohru discovers that the family has a curse set upon them. Thirteen people out of the family are cursed with one of the Chinese Zodiac animals and when huged by someone of the opposite sex they are transformed. Yes, there are only Twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac, the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and boar but the thirteenth member is the cat who has always been shun from the rest of the animals. Just as the Chinese Zodiac story goes the cat is also shun from the Sohma family.

Tohru is now living with Yuki Sohma, possessed by the rat, Shigure Sohma, possessed by the dog, and Kyo Sohma, possessed by the cat. Everyday Tohru learns more about the Sohma family and plans of understanding everything about them. It’s a dangerous thing to allow an outsider to know of the secret, but the family believes Tohru is different. The head of the family, Akito Sohma, is against Tohru and wants her gone.

To find out what becomes of Tohru and the Sohma’s I highly recommend watching this show. It does not come on any specific television station, but it's online to watch. There are only 26 episodes of Fruits Basket they never completed the cartoon but the manga has the whole story. Fruits basket was written by Natsuki Takaya and the series was directed by Akitaro Daichi.

Adventure Time!

Adventure Time is about a 12 year old boy named Finn and a 28 year old dog named Jake. They are best friends who go on tons of amazing adventures together. They live in the land of Ooo with many other creatures. The land of Ooo is a world built for adventure, which Finn and Jake love. Jake has magical powers where he can stretch his body in various shapes. Finn is the fighter and the problem solver. Finn and Jake are both very kind hearted and are always up to do anything that doesn’t have to do with sitting down.

                Time comes on Cartoon Network on Mondays at 8:00 p.m. Adventure Time first aired on April 5^th 2010, so this show is fairly new. Adventure Time has 3 seasons with 78  episodes total. Adventure time was created by Pendleton Ward and produced by Frederator Studios for Cartoon Network.

               In Adventure time, Finn and Jake are always saving various different princesses from the Ice
King. Some princesses are Princess bubblegum and Lumpy Space Princess. The Ice King is always up to no good trying to steal Princesses as his own, but thankfully Finn and Jake are always there to save the day. Along the road of their adventures, Finn and Jake always learn new lessons.  No matter who it is in danger, Finn and Jake are always ready to help them. The land of Ooo is home of many of Finn and Jakes friends. Some of their other friends are Marceline, Lady Rainicorn, BMO, The Duke of Nuts, Tree trunks, and many others. Every character has a completely different personality which I find to be very creative.
             Adventure Time is full of action, comedy, and various adventures. The land of Ooo is very colorful with beautiful odd landscapes, which makes adventures even better. I highly recommend watching Adventure Time. It is full of comical situations and various characters who all look very interesting. The different places are cute and colorful with cute names such as “The Candy Palace.”

The Amazing World of Gumball

                The Amazing World of Gumball  is about a twelve year old boy who is a cat. His name is Gumball. Gumballs best friend is his pet fish, Darwin, who one day grew legs and became a part of the family. Gumball has a little sister named Anais who is a rabbit. Gumball also has two parents, his mom is a cat named Nicole and his dad is a rabbit just like his little sister named Richard. Gumball and Darwin are always getting themselves into a mess. They always try to do everything on their own which always turns out bad. The two boys attend Elmore Junior High. There are many other characters who attend Elmore Junior High, such as a huge t-rex, a banana, a balloon, a ghost, and many more weird creatures.

                The Amazing World of Gumball first aired on May 3, 2011 on Cartoon Network. It comes on every Monday at 7:30 p.m. on Cartoon Network. They are still coming out with new episodes, so there not quite done with the whole series yet. So far they have a total of twenty-two episodes and two seasons.

                The Amazing World of Gumball is a comedy. Gumball and Darwin don’t really know what they’re doing half the time. They helped a fingerprint rob a gas station, remade a movie because they lost the one they rented, stole a stuffed animal from a t-rex, and goes in to the Forest of Doom.  The two boys are always up to no good, they have no idea what the world is about. The Amazing World of Gumball isn’t only a funny show it’s super cute. The animation is different from any other cartoon I have seen before. Everything in the background is real. It looks like drawings of characters are just placed on to the real world.
